AI Ground Station
Bring the support infrastructure with you. The AI Ground Station is a portable computing and communications hub concept for robots working beyond reliable networks and cloud services.
The aim is a field-ready personal cloud: somewhere to run robot services, manage AI applications, and keep the team connected when the nearest server room is miles away.
Status: On the roadmap. The capabilities below are design goals, not confirmed specifications, and may change as development progresses.
Design goals
- A portable personal cloud using the Kubernetes ecosystem.
- NVIDIA Jetson and Raspberry Pi computing hardware.
- Local deployment and management of AI models and applications.
- A GPS-RTK ground station.
- Hosted ROS 2 services and an ATAK server.
- B.A.T.M.A.N. mesh networking, HaLow Wi-Fi, LoRa, and Starlink uplink options.
- An enclosure suitable for outdoor use.
